Thank you!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone in The Classics Club! I was so so excited when Allie emailed me to tell me I'd been voted Classic Clubber of the Month, and my most heartfelt thanks to those who voted for me! My interview is now up, and as if that wasn't enough, I've had some very kind emails, comments, and tweets as well today. It is so wonderful, and I love The Classics Club, it's fun, it's important, and so many people I love reading are involved, and to be voted like this by them is incredible and means a lot to me, so thank you very much! It's so surprising and lovely!

And with that very short blog post, I must go to bed. A few days ago, Patty and I were saying on Twitter that we liked this time of day. It's nearly 3am here, and I wouldn't say today had been hectic exactly, more engaging. This is the first moment where everything has stopped. It's a cool night, cool enough to have the heater on next to me, but not cold enough to be unpleasant. Slight breeze outside, and very fine rain, and of course total darkness. No moon, even. I'm looking forward, in the next few minutes, to go to bed and fall into that complete, cool darkness.
